Yoruba Benin alphabet
Hi. Yoruba has a slightly different alphabet in Benin. It has been standardized in the National Languages Alphabet by the National Language Commission in 1975, and revised in 1980 by the National Center for Applied Linguistics. Basically ẹ -> ɛ, ọ -> ɔ and ṣ -> sh. The diacritics should be the same.

I looked at :m:Wikipedias in multiple writing systems and it looks like the automatic conversion system works pretty well for other language Wikipedias. Would there be people interested by this feature?

There's less than a million Yoruba speakers in Benin, but the National Languages Alphabet rules are taught in school, so I've been told by a local. This would allow Benin Yoruba speakers to use their official alphabet here. I'll copy the converter code in User:Moyogo/Converter.html. You can copy it's content in a new text file and save it as <tt><converter.html/tt> and test it with your browser. --Moyogo 17:25, 22 Oṣù Kejìlá 2011 (UTC)
