Grace Omaboe

Grace Omaboe (tí wọ́n bí ní ọjọ́ kẹwàá oṣù kẹfà ọdún 1946), tí ọ̀pọ̀ ènìyàn mọ̀ sí Maame Dokono, jẹ́ òṣèrébìnrin ti orílẹ̀-èdè Ghana, akọrin, àti olóòtú ètò orí ẹ̀rọ amóhùnmáwòrán.[1][2][3] Ó fìgbà kan darí ilé àwọn ọmọ aláìníyàá ti Peace and Love Orphanage tí orúkọ rẹ̀ ti wá di Graceful Grace school ní ìlú Accra.[4] Wọ́n bu ọlá fún Omaboe àti àwọn mìíràn ní 3Music Awards fún akitiyan rẹ̀ nínú ilé ìṣẹ́ ìdárayá ní ìlú Ghana.[5]

Grace Omaboe (born 10 June 1946), popularly known as Maame Dokono, is a Ghanaian actress, singer and television personality.[8][9][10] She ran the former Peace and Love Orphanage which is now Graceful Grace school in Accra.[4] Omaboe and others were honoured by the organisers of 3Music Awards for her achievement in the entertainment industry in Ghana.[11]

Early life

Grace Omaboe was born in June 1946 in Nyafuman, Birim North District, Ghana.

She attended Abetifi Girls School.

Omaboes first acting role was in the Akan Drama Series "OBRA" which was broadcast on GBC TV.[12]

Ó kópa nínú fíìmù onítàn kúkurú kan, ìyẹn Kwaku Ananse.[14] Ní ọdún 2000, Omaboe kópa nínú ìdíje ìṣèlú gẹ́gẹ́ bí ọmọ ẹgbẹ́ National Democratic Congress (NDC) ní New Abirem fún Birim North District ní apá Ìlà-Oòrùn agbègbè tó ti wá, èyí tí ó sì gbé ipò kejì.[15] Ní ọdún 2008, Omaboe ṣe àtìlẹyìn New Patriotic Party (NPP).[16] Omaboe fi ìdí ẹ̀ lélẹ̀ pé àwọn NDC parọ́ mọ́ òun, èyí sì mú gbé ọ̀rọ̀ náà lọ ilé-ẹjọ́ láti lọ jà fún ìdásílẹ̀ ilé àwọn ọmọ aláìníyàá rẹ̀ èyí tí wọ́n fi ẹ̀sùn ìwà ìbàjẹ́ kàn.[17] Àdàkọ:Better source needed Wọ́n ti ilé àwọn ọmọ aláìníyàá náà pa nítori àìgba ìwé-àṣẹ láti ṣiṣẹ́. Omaboe ti ṣe ìgbéyàwó ní ẹ̀ẹ̀mejì, èyí tí ìgbéyàwó náà ti forí ṣọ́pọ́n.[22] Ó ní ọmọ mẹ́fà, méjì wà ní United States, méjì wà ní Netherlands àwọn méjì yòókù sì wà ní Ghana.[23][24][25]

Omaboe ṣàlàyé pé òun fìgbà kan fẹ́ David Dontoh lásìkò tí wọ́n ń ṣe fíìmù Keteke àti Obra. Àwọn ènìyàn gbàgbọ́ pé wọ́n fẹ́ ara wọn fún ọdún mẹ́rin.
