Medlar
Mespilus germanica, ti a mọ si medlar tabi medlar ti o wọpọ, jẹ igbo nla kan tabi igi kekere ninu idile Rosaceae . Awọn eso igi yii, ti a tun pe ni medlar, ni a ti gbin lati awọn akoko Romu, nigbagbogbo wa ni igba otutu ati jẹun nigbati o ba jẹ . [1] O le jẹ ni aise ati ni ọpọlọpọ awọn ounjẹ ti a ti jinna. Nigbati iwin Mespilus wa ninu iwin Crataegus, orukọ ti o pe fun eya yii jẹ Crataegus germanica ( Kuntze ). Ni guusu iwọ-oorun ti England ni itan-akọọlẹ o ni nọmba awọn orukọ apeso aibikita, gẹgẹbi ṣiṣi-arse ati isalẹ ọbọ, nitori irisi calyx nla rẹ. [2]
