Ọ̀rọ̀:Àtòjọ àwọn ìlú àti ìlú-ńlá ní ìpínlẹ̀ Alabama
Page name needs changing
àtúnṣeThe page name now has ìlú àti ìlú where English has "cities and towns" (cities being larger, populations of millions but in smaller states just hundreds of thousands). The matter now is this duplication:
- Does Yoruba have two separate words for the larger and smaller populated places? If so, the page name needs to show both (the larger first), e.g. Àtòjọ àwọn ìlú àti [YO:TOWN] ńlá ní ìpínlẹ̀ Alabama
- If only the word ìlú is meaningful in Yoruba, the page name needs changing (by Move) to Àtòjọ àwọn ìlú ńlá ní ìpínlẹ̀ Alabama.
According to the answer from a Yoruba-speaker, I can make the necessary changes. This will be true for all list pages with similar content for different states of the USA. -- Deborahjay (ọ̀rọ̀) 12:03, 13 Oṣù Kejì 2020 (UTC)
- Thanks for your observations, but what I actually wrote were Ìlú àti ìlú-ńlá which means town and Town and City (singular), plural will be àwọn Ìlú àti ìlú-ńlá. Macdanpets 17:16, 14 Oṣù Kejì 2020 (UTC)
- ìlúmeans town, ìlú-ńlá means city. The typo error I made was the absence of hyphen in ìlú-ńlá. Your contributions are tremendous and appreciated. Thanks very much. Macdanpets 17:23, 14 Oṣù Kejì 2020 (UTC)
- Page name changed by Move per your corrected spelling (ìlú-ńlá), above. -- Deborahjay (ọ̀rọ̀) 21:59, 14 Oṣù Kejì 2020 (UTC)
- ALSO fixed the capitalization to be consistent. See Wikidata for other languages. -- Deborahjay (ọ̀rọ̀) 22:07, 14 Oṣù Kejì 2020 (UTC)
