Greetings àtúnṣe

Greetings to you User:Lordgentual, I am happy to see you doing a great job around here over the weeks. I must commend your effort towards improving Yo Wiki. However, I must point out here that we have gone Beyond creating contents or articles like 'bot'. If we continue to follow the old trend, it's more unless like we creating more mess instead of improving the existing ones. Hundreds of messy articles created by bot or someone with little or no knowledge of Yorùbá language are to many under improvement. We are not expecting such trend to continue any more. We don't want google translated articles like this https://yo.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ngozi_Okonjo-Iweala and https://yo.Wikipedia.org/wiki/Aisha_Augie-Kuta here, even if you do use it, try and convert it to the native language. On Yoruba Wikipedia, we want healthy articles with standard diacritical marks and marvelous arrangement like this https://yo.wikipedia.org/wiki/%C3%80y%C3%ACnl%C3%A1_%E1%BB%8Cm%E1%BB%8Dw%C3%BAr%C3%A0, though it is small but the reader will get the blue print. If you find it difficult to do, I will implore you to rather help improve the existing needy articles.

Thank you for contributing to Yo Wiki once again.

More so, if you need any assistance whatsoever, please be confident to message me on my talk page. Regards. Agbalagba (ọ̀rọ̀) 23:23, 16 Oṣù Kàrún 2020 (UTC)Reply

oníṣe:Agbalagba, which of the articles do you considered "machined-translated"?. I don't see much problems with the articles. Regards. T CellsTalk 21:59, 25 Oṣù Kàrún 2020 (UTC)Reply

Sequel to your questions àtúnṣe

Hi and sorry for my long silence.

  1. "Is it that shouldn't translate everything on the english wikipedia to yoruba".

The answer is No, do translate everything you easy to translate, but you have to read thoroughly and make sure the article has a smooth and appropriate words are the right portions, so that it'll be readable even to a layman. If you know morphological and synthetic rules of Yoruba language very well, you will understand my point better.

  1. "i shouldn't put english text in the yoruba article?"

When it comes to putting English text in Yoruba articles, you can do this only if it's had to do with NOUN in its entirety, a name should be called the way they are called. We don't translate people's name or Acronyms. Also, do not try to leave any stone unturn as regards other texts. I thank you once again for doing a wonderful work here, we need more of your best and presence with better benefits. Regards! Agbalagba (ọ̀rọ̀) 11:55, 26 Oṣù Kàrún 2020 (UTC)Reply
