West Africa Time, or WAT, is a time zone used in west-central Africa (though not in countries west of Benin, which instead use GMT). The zone is one hour ahead of UTC(Coordinated Universal Time) (UTC+1), which makes it the same as Central European Time. Note that it does not include most of the countries that make up the West Africa region (these use UTC+0).

black | UTC-1: Cape Verde Time. |
green | UTC: Western European Time · Greenwich Mean Time. |
blue | UTC+1: Central European Time · West Africa Time · Western European Summer Time. |
red | UTC+2: Eastern European Time · Central Africa Time · West Africa Summer Time · South Africa Standard Time. |
yellow | UTC+3: Eastern European Summer Time · East Africa Time. |
grey | UTC+4: Mauritius Time · Seychelles Time. |
As most of this time zone is in the equatorial region there is no significant change in day length throughout the year, so daylight saving time is not observed. The exception to this is Namibia, which moves to West Africa Summer Time (UTC+2) in the summer months, September to April.
